When I received the inquiry from Lea and Lukas, I immediately felt that this wedding would take a very special place in my heart.

 

The couple planned a large, stylish celebration for around 100 guests. The day began with relaxed preparations at the charming Strandhotel Blankenese, right on the banks of the Elbe. The bride’s mother and sister helped with the getting ready while ships passed by outside and an atmosphere full of anticipation filled the air. Perfect moments for emotional and authentic wedding photos.

The ceremony took place in Flottbek Church. Afterwards, we drove together to Blankenese to capture intimate couple portraits between the Elbe beach, elegant villas, and winding streets, a wonderful setting for their wedding reportage in Hamburg. Meanwhile, the guests made their way to the elegant Süllberg restaurant.

 

Once there, the bride and groom cut the wedding cake in a very special way: instead of using one knife together, Lea and Lukas symbolically used two knives, a lovely detail that I, as their photographer, simply had to capture.

The reception on the sophisticated terrace of the Süllberg with its view over the Elbe and the warm evening light was simply magical. Later, the celebration moved into the impressive two-story ballroom with sparkling chandeliers, candlelight, and mirrors reflecting the glow a thousand times over.

​

After dinner, the evening flowed seamlessly into a lively party. With the first sounds of dance music, the dance floor filled, and both guests and the newlyweds celebrated long into the night.

​

As a wedding photographer in Hamburg, I am grateful to have been part of this unique story. Days like this remind me again and again why I love weddings.
